You can order a certificate on behalf of another person over the age of 18 with a digital power of attorney. Both you and the principal must have MitID.
How to issue a digital power of attorney
The principal can issue a digital power of attorney on borger.dk using a self-service with MitID. Once the principal has issued the digital power of attorney, the other person to whom the power of attorney has been issued, can order the certificate(s) and collect it or have it sent to his/her address.
The digital power of attorney is issued by using the self-service "Digital power of attorney" on borger.dk.

When the digital power of attorney is issued, the principal will receive a confirmation in his/her Digital Post.
The person who has received the digital power of attorney will also receive a notification in his/her Digital Post that includes information on the authorization and the period of validity.
To initiate the order of certificate
Once the digital power of attorney has been given, you must follow the steps as described here:
Step 1 - Choose the certificate on borger.dk, se link below:

Step 2 - Log on with MitID
Step 3 - Click 'Select person':
Once you have logged on with your MitID, you will read in a blue bar at the top of the screen that another person has granted you a digital power of attorney to order a certificate. You now have to click on the button “Vælg person” (in English “Choose person”).
Mark the person who has given you power of attorney. Then click “Bekræft” (in English “Confirm”)
Step 4 - Fill in the order details
In the top of the screen, you will be notified that you are now ordering on behalf of the selected person.
You will now need to fill in “Sprog” (in English: the wanted language) and “Levering” (In English: delivery of the certificate):
- “Digital forsendelse” (in English a digital delivery sent to your digital Post, NOT signed by hand, but digitally signed)
- “Brevforsendelse” (in English sent by post to your address, a certificate on paper signed by hand)
- “Afhentning” (In English for delivery in person, a certificate on paper signed by hand)
- Fill in contact details for the order confirmation. Fill in at least a telephone number in need of any contact to your local registrar.
- Logo: Mark if you wish a logo of the Danish National church (Folkekirken) on the certificate.
Step 5 - Click on 'Order'
Click on “Bestil” (In English “Order”). A text box will appear, showing terms and conditions.
Step 6 - Read the terms and click 'Accepter betingelser" ("Accept the terms")
Scroll all the way down and check “Accepter betingelser” (in English "Accept the terms") to order the certificate, then click “Bekræft” (in English "Confirm").
Step 7 - Receipt
Once you have accepted the conditions and signed with MitID, you will receive a confirmation on screen and a receipt in your email and in your Digital Post.
