If you order online with MitID
If you live abroad (EU, Scandinavia and the UK) and have MitID, you can order a certificate online by using a self-service with MitID on borger.dk. If you live in another country you cannot use the self-service and you must contact the parish where you previously lived in Denmark or the parish where you were born.
> Go to the self-service to order a certificate online
> Find the parish on borger.personregistrering.dk
Advice: When ordering you must choose “Brevforsendelse” (in English: postal delivery) and specify your private address abroad. The certificate will then be sent directly to your address by ordinary post, not recommended. If you do not fill in your private address you will have to attend the nearest Danish Representation for delivery.

You can also send a secure email (in Danish “Sikker henvendelse”) to the parish where you last resided before leaving Denmark and ask for a certificate.
Certificate with power of attorney
You can have someone else collect/order your certificate by making a power of attorney.

Certificate for collection at the embassy/consulate
If you cannot order online and use MitID or if you know someone who can collect the certificate in Denmark in possession of a power of attorney, you should contact the last parish where you resided before leaving Denmark.
> Find the parish on borger.personregistrering.dk and search for your (last) address in Denmark
The parish will send the certificate to the Danish Representation abroad near your residence according to agreement. Once they have received the certificate, they will contact you to collect the certificate and ask for your photo ID.
