Order a certificate online with MitID
You can order a certificate with MitID. Find access and read the guidance below. Please note: the self-service is in Danish only.
However, before you order, please check if you meet the required conditions and read the following articles:

You can find the following certificates for digital ordering in Danish and English:
- Certificate of Personal Data ("Personattest")
- Certificate of Baptism and Birth ("Fødsels- og dåbsattest", only if you are baptised)
- Marriage certificate ("Vielsesattest")
If you do not have MitID, or you need another kind of certificate - collect the certificate in person
If you cannot order the certificate online, you can collect the certificate by attending any church office in Denmark (or municipality in the Southern part of Jutland if you were born in that part of Denmark). Please remember to bring your own photo ID.

Once you have logged on the self-service you have to choose the specific certificate:
Once you have chosen eg. the Certificate of Personal Data (in Danish: Personattest) you have to fill out the following:
“Sprog” (language for the certificate) choose Danish/English
“Levering” (= Type of delivery).
Choose between:
“Digital forsendelse” (= a digitally signed certificate that is sent to your digital post)
“Brevforsendelse” (= the certificate is sent to your postal address)
“Afhentning” (= for hand out at your local authority)
Fill out your E-mail address and phone number, E-mail and “Telefonnummer”
Logo: As a standard the certificate is shown with a logo of the Danish National church (In Danish “Den Danske Folkekirke”). If you do not want the certificate to show the logo, you must remove the mark.
You are now prepared to order, click on “Bestil”.
Read the terms of acceptance and choose “Accepter” (= accept) to proceed. (For more information on the terms and conditions, read more on retsinfo.dk ….)
Once you have accepted you will be met with a notification that confirms your order. The same notification is sent to your email address.
