For people born in the Southern part of Jutland by mothers who lives or lived in that part of Jutland, the municipality of birth process and register their civil information in the CPR. The registration is made by a registrar. This also applies if they move to another part of Denmark outside of the Southern part of Jutland.

Notice of birth
When the child's mother lives in the Southern part of Jutland, the birth must be registered by the municipality of residence in the Southern part of Jutland, regardless of where in Denmark the birth takes place.
If the birth takes place in a hospital or private clinic in the Southern part of Jutland, the municipality will be notified about the birth. If the birth takes place at home with a private midwife, you yourself must notify your municipality of residence of the birth.

Naming
When you apply online for a name for your child with MitID, the application is automatically sent to the mother's municipality of residence in the Southern part of Jutland. If you apply by using an application on paper, you must send it by post or hand it in to the municipality. The application must not be scanned and sent by email.
Change of name
If you were born in the Southern part of Jutland the municipality in this part of Denmark will process your change of name, regardless of your present address. When you complete your application by the use of a self-service with MitID, it is automatically sent to this municipality. If you apply by using an application on paper, you must deliver it by post or by hand to the municipality. The application must not be scanned and sent by email.
