Birth - taking place at home
If your child is born at home without the presence of a midwife, you must register the birth on paper. The Notification on birth must be delivered in person or sent to the registrar (the parish where the birth took place - or if the mother lives in Denmark to the parish close to where she lives). The notification must not be sent by email.
Please note: If your child was born at the hospital, - OR at home with the presence of a midwife, do NOT fill out the notification. The midwife will make sure to register the birth of your child.
