If you apply online for a name change
If you apply online for a name change, but cannot pay with Dankort, MobilePay or credit card, you must pay the administration fee by your online bank (read more below) and attach a photo or scanned copy of your receipt to your application (not a bank statement) before submitting your application.
In your online application - in step 4 of 6 "Betaling" (in English: "Payment"), you must select the option “Jeg mener ikke, at jeg skal betale” (in English: "I do not believe I have to pay") - write a comment before you proceed.
Your local registrar will then receive your receipt of payment for further processing.
If you apply for a name change on paper
If you apply using an application on paper, you can still pay by your online banking (read below). The receipt must be attached to the application and delivered to your local registrar.
How to pay by your online banking
When you pay the fee, you must choose to pay by a giro transfer:
- ensure that the first two digits in the recipient field are "73"
- enter the account number: "84698857"
- enter the present name of the person who you are applying for in the field "Besked til modtager" (in English: "Message to recipient").
