When you have given birth to a child in Denmark you will receive a letter of information in your Digital Post. The letter will also be sent to your spouse.

The letter contains information on how to proceed in relation to registration of the birth, paternity/motherhood and naming.

If you are exempted from using digital self-services or Digital Post the letter of information will be sent by ordinary post.
